Frequently Asked Questions

What databases does Talk BI support?

In general all SQL databases, specifically we connect currently to Postgres and MySQL. A connection to SQL Server and Oracle will follow soon. Stay tuned.

Do you support other data sources?

Currently not, but this is in planning.

Do you support MongoDB?

Currently not. At the moment there is no immediate plan to change this.

What data do you store, how safe is my data?

We store your database connection string (in encrypted form) and we store your database schema and prompt. We don't directly store any data that is inside your database. We do store query results though, so that you can access them when opening a conversation. You can configure the time you want us to hold this information and you can delete it any time with a few clicks.

Where are the Talk BI servers located?

Our servers are hosted in a fully European datacenter, currently in France.

Do you support on premise installations?

Our enterprise version can be installed on premise.

How can I make sure that I get the right results for my questions?

We will read your data model, but we don't always know what each field in your data model means. It helps to explain in the prompt some things about your tables and fields. When you realize that Talk BI has difficulties to correctly answer a question, you can solve this by better describing the attributes that you need for the query.
